so i'm hearing that there's going to be no color this fall, and its making me very sad. i hope all of these people are wrong! sorry those of you that said that.....:/

anyways, here're a few photos i took on this enticing fall day. enjoy. :)
i see some color in there!

maybe this is what they're talking about, being dry and all.....

stubborn fred. "gosh fred, why so stubborn?"

my little sister Lillie has been caring for about 4 or 5 cocoons these past few weeks, one of which hatched today. its a swallow tail, and still very fragile. but so beautiful. :) i asked Lillie what it's name should be, (we can't not name every living thing we own, even if only for a little while. :P) and she said, "Well, the last one was named Rainbow..........so this one should be, Fred." we were having trouble getting Fred to get out of his little shelter, so he upgraded to Stubborn Fred.

He is for us....good feeling, huh?

"You shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you form the peoples, that you should be mine."
Isaiah 20:26

it's crazy to think that, WE are holy?! He has, "set us apart", and we are His. how awesome is that?!

one of my favorite songs is, You Are for Me, by Kari Jobe. this song tells us that God, no matter what, will never forsake us, and constantly reminds us of His love.

You Are for Me ~ Kari Jobe

i'm amazed, every day.
So faithful
So constant
So loving and so true
So powerful in all you do
You fill me
You see me
You know my every move
You love for me to sing to you

I know that you are for me
I know that you are for me
I know that you will never forsake me in my weakness
I know that you have come down
Even if to write upon my heart
To remind me who you are.

this isn't the entire song, but it gives you a feel for what i'm talking about. it's a very good feeling to know that, once we've accepted Him, He will never let us go. and we will go through really, really terrible times, and think that He has totally abandoned us, but no. like the song says, "I know that you will never forsake me in my weaknesses". now that's something to live for, and i'm so thankful He has chosen me to do so. :)

somewhere only we know

yet another gorgeous, gorgeous day! i think God has fun seeing how beautiful He can make each new day. He has yet to disappoint. :)

"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!"

elle est belle...

here's my doll for french class! her name is savonneux, meaning 'soapy' in french. :)

well, today was interesting.

to start out this day, i went to chemistry at lee this morning like normal. i went home, took a nap, (so unlike me), happens maybe, once every two years? yep. i then went to my next class, music survey. when class was over, i went to sit under a tree to study. the weather was so beautiful, a sweet breeze blowing, that was very distracting in helping me to study. :p

about an hour later, it was time to go, and i realized i'd left my water bottle in class. darn. i really liked my nalgene. so, i went back to my classroom, and of course there was another class going on. i peeked through the glass into the room and there my water bottle was. just sitting in my seat. the teacher saw me, and waved me in. with all eyes on me, i crossed the room and when i grabbed the bottle as a girl said, "well you're early".  uh, what? i really don't know. oh well.

i went home, with all of my belongings, and got on my computer. in the mean time, my papaw had just bought a used pick-up truck from our neighbor, and it was sitting in our driveway. my parents weren't home, so it was just me, my brothers Ryan and Roy, and my little sister and her friend. so Ryan is downstairs playing the piano when all of a sudden i hear, "WHAT. the. HECK! what just happened? WHAT on EARTH?!", and then the front door slammed open and he ran outside....i immediately dropped whatever i was doing and ran downstairs, thinking he was just excited or being obnoxious,  but still being curious as to why. i went outside and was like, "what's going on???" Roy, being curious just like me, had decided to "check out the new car", and when he did, he took the emergency brake off, thinking he would have to simply hold the brake down. well, he thought the clutch was the brake, so slowly the truck starts rolling backwards, and all Roy can do is push harder on the "break"! so, very long story short, the 20 minute old truck smashed into our neighbors house, and is now worth a lot less than a little. i felt so bad for Roy. can't even imagine what was going through his head! poor guy, he feels so bad! after that incident, (and Roy is unhurt, by the way), Ryan and i went inside to create an edible animal cell for his biology project. mmm. eating cells sounds delish.

after diner, i went to Bible study at Lauren Curry's house. let's just say, i'm so thankful to have the opportunity to be around such amazingly strong girls, who love Christ with all of their hearts. it has truly blessed me, and i'm excited to see what God has in store for us as a group.

so i am now home, and am about to create a doll from my Chanel Paris bar of soap for french class tomorrow! i'll post a picture when i'm done. :) anyway, its been a long, interesting, scary, but overall good day. i think this is more words on this blog than all the other posts put together. its usually just pictures.....oh well. :) hope everyone had a wonderful day, without any tragic accidents!

"because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. when he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. "
Psalm 91:14-15

He is always here for us. He will protect us. His love is more than we could EVER ask for. God, is GOOD.
